Paolo Bacilieri draws the second Duca Lamberti adventure, soon to be published in the pages of Linus

Paolo Bacilieri (Verona, 1965) is one of contemporary Italy’s master cartoonists, his works translated the world over. He has combined storytelling and cartooning ever since he was seventeen and fresh out of Bologna’s Academy of Fine Arts, apprenticed to the great Milo Manara. The tales of Zeno Porno, Bacilieri’s best-known character, earned him the Gran Guinigi Prize for Best Writer and Illustrator at the 2006 Lucca Comics & Games. Since 1999, he has worked with the publisher Sergio Bonelli Editore (Napoleone, Jan Dix, Dylan Dog). His 2012 Sweet Salgari (Coconino Press), was a multi-award-winning graphic novel biography of Emilio Salgari that took him over ten years to research. No other illustrator is more sensitive to the urban landscape, especially in Milan. In 2022, he started putting the adventures of Luca Lamberti in graphic novel form, with Venere Privata (Oblomov Edizioni).
