A spin-off of the popular ShorTS Comics Marathon at Noir in Festival. The contestants are asked to fit an entire film of their choice, rigorously noir by genre, into a single page of a comic strip
Following the talk with Lorenzo Palloni, the winner of the new comics contest Shorts Noir Comics Marathon will be announced. It’s a spin-off of the popular ShorTS Comics Marathon, which is promoted by the ShorTS International Film Festival in Trieste and saw Lorenzo Palloni on the jury at its last edition. ShorTS Comics Marathon has been going for eight years now, challenging cartoonists and illustrators taking part to redraw film classics in the format “a comic strip short”. The spin-off of that marathon unfolding at Noir in Milan is even shorter, starting with its name: a film rigorously noir of the contestant’s choice must be compressed into just one page of a comic strip. No rules for the format here, style, size, or other, so that the participants can give free rein to their imaginations.
