  I love Sicilia
by Raffaele Damiani

RAI-Eri
A body disappears from Palermo’s Rotoli cemetery. The photo on the tombstone says it all. Young rookie commissioner Elio Vittori is assigned to the case and soon finds himself embroiled in a mystifying situation. Anonymous and mysteries letters lead him on a chase throughout Italy and even France. The Mafia plays a fundamental role in the intrigue. Will Commissioner Vittori solve the case and end up with the woman of his dreams?

Raffaele Damiani (Alia, Palermo, Italy, 1943) studied law and worked as a police officer from 1970 to 1990. Rai Eri has published his novels Una storia di mafia (2006), Giallo all’ombra della cattedrale (2007) and La pistola di cristallo (2009). Other publications include Un funzionario qualunque (Firenze, 2003), about his 30 years in the police force; and Don Patrizio Doveri - Sacerdote con stile (Pisa, 2005). Several of his short stories have been selected in anthologies. His involvement in the television program Il treno dei desideri gave him the chance to publish his first novel through Rai Eri and, given the encouraging response from readers, his subsequent novels as well.
