Four years later, Donal MacIntyre returns to look at the family of Dominic Noonan, the leader of the most powerful gang in di Manchester, who has spent most of his life in prison. In A Very British Gangster: Part 2 we see things above all through the eyes of Noonan’s son Bugsy, and discover how much his father’s absence has influenced him and how his surroundings and upbringing have predisposed the boy to a violent life of crime. Bugsy is nostalgic for the childhood he has never had and hopes he and his father will holiday in Jamaica on his release. He has known his dad for only two of his 11 years, yet their bond is strong, for hard man Noonan has a bully’s sentimental vision. |
