  Spazio Italia Offers Noir-in-Progress

 05/12/2009
After having christened hits such as The Girl By the Lake and As God Commands at Courmayeur, this year we will highlight further Italian noir films in production, which will be released in 2010. The Spazio Italia section will present trailers of three films, commented upon by their filmmakers and stars.

Inspired by true events, Claudio Cupellini’s Una Vita Tranquilla (“A Tranquil Life”) stars Toni Servillo as an Italian living in Germany under a changed identity, whose dark catches up with him. Andrea Papini’s La Misura del Confine (“Border Lines”) is a thriller set among the Alps along the Italian-Swiss border. Lastly, there is “L’Intruso” (“The Intruder”), one of the five episodes of the project Thriller V. Directed by Nicolaj Pennestri, it stars Andrea Osvart as a woman trapped in a spiral of terror that may or may not be the product of her paranoid mind.

There will also be a Q&A after the screening of the Manetti brothers’ workshop-film Cavie (“Guinea Pigs”), made in collaboration with the Film School of Rome.
