The three wining films of the third Young Directors Project (YDP) competition will screen today. YDP is backed by MINI, NBC Universal and monthly film magazine Ciak, and with the collaboration of Opus Proclama.

The three mini-films will be shown before today’s official selection screenings – at 6:30 pm, 10 pm and 12 am.

The films are: Alta Tensione by Giampietro Balia, Partacce by Verdiana Milia (who will present her film) and Immacolata by Francesco Calderone.

Alta Tensione by Giampietro Balia
The thoughts and memories of a young women in an electric chair are intertwined in flashback just moments before she is executed: her love; friendships; images of her boyfriend in bed with her best friend, who were killed barbarically.

Partacce by Verdiana Milia
Fabietto, young and hyper-technological, spends his days at home playing with his numerous audiovisual gadgets. But when a deliveryman (Ninetto Davoli) brings him a new plasma screen, the encounter provokes unexpected changes for both.

Immacolata by Francesco Calderone
A confidential interrogation in a courtroom tries to shed light on an alleged and brutal crime. At the end of the dramatic debate, the equally surprising nature of the victim emerges.
