The high profile premieres of Mini Noir (organized with a contribution from the IED – European Institute of Design of Milan) include Gil Kenan’s fantasy hit City of Ember, the fairy tale send-up Lissi and the Wild Emperor and the Christmas film of the year, Disney’s Beverly Hills Chihuahua with Jamie Lee Curtis.
 
Mini Noir will, also, present three new 2008 books to its young participants: Thule, L'Impero dei Ghiacci by Carlo A. Martigli; Il Principe della Città di Sabbia by Pierdomenico Baccalario, Enzo D'Alò and Gaston Kaboré; and Il Manoscritto dell’Imperatore by Valeria Montaldi.
 
There will also be special screening of Enzo D’Alò’s 2003 animated film Opopomoz, featuring the voices of John Turturro, Fabio Volo, Peppe Barra, Silvio Orlando and Oreste Lionello.

For the first time in her life, Chloe is forced to trust new, strange friends, including rough German shepherd Delgado (former police dog) and Papi, an affectionate male Chihuahua – who will help her find the strength she needs to face the incredible journey home.
 
Scooby Doo – The Island of the Zombies

Scooby and the gang travel to an island swarming with spirits to investigate the ghost of the pirate Moonscar. But they discover that the he is not the only terrifying thing living on the island. The most entertaining in the series by Hanna and Barbera, the film offers an abundance of music, laughter and thrills. 
 
Lissi und der Wilde Kaiser – Lissi and the Wild Emperor

City of Ember

The story of city that has been underground for over 250 years, where there is no sky and the only light comes from the glittering lamps strewn around the Ember, which give off an eerie yellowish light. They say there is no life beyond Ember. But now the great lamps are starting to flickers and no one seems to notice except two teenagers, Lina Mayfleet and her friend Doon Harrow, who aided by an ancient parchment, will race against time to save the city from darkness.
