Annalise Keating is a well-respected criminal defense attorney and professor of defense law at the prestigious Middletown University in Philadelphia. Every year, she and her two associates, Bonnie and Frank, select interns from among their most deserving students for an introduction to the real-world cut-throat court system . This time it’s a group of five students called the "Keating Five": Wes Gibbins, a law student who got in late, off the waiting list; Connor Walsh, highly ambitious and unscrupulous; Michaela Pratt, a loyal, serious student whose role model is Annalise; Asher Millstone, the son of a famous judge; and Laurel Castillo, who got into the group thanks to Frank Delfino, an associate of Annalise’s who is having an affair with the girl. For her role as Annalise, Viola Davis won an Emmy® Award in 2015.
The second season starts off with the disappearance of Rebecca Suter. Only Annalise and Frank know she’s really dead and they want to find out why.
