There are any number of cops in movies and on TV, but Coliandro breaks the mold. Honest and stubborn, this scatter-brained bungler is the exact opposite of the classic police hero of the small screen, and maybe this is why, despite his shortcomings, he’s hard not to love. Not particularly respected by his superiors, in the crime stories he stars in he seems to have wound up in them almost by mistake, and grudgingly at that. This, then is Ispettore Coliandro, a police series with blatantly comic overtones that delights in mixing the realistic portrayal of investigations of Italy’s underworld today with the fantastic element of sheer cinematic entertainment. Black Mamba is the first of six new episodes that will be airing in January on Raidue.
Black Mamba
Andreas, a handsome international hitman, arrives in Bologna with the world’s secret services on his tail. In a series of daring adventures, Coliandro, unaware of his new girlfriend’s true identity up to the bitter end, will have to defend her from the secret services and defend himself from her.
